It’s the invitation Jesus extended to His disciples after returning from their two-by-two mission trip:

`Come away with me. Let us go alone to a quiet place and rest for a while.’ (Mark 6:31)

He sees the mad rush of our lives. The way we bounce from one activity to the next, trying to serve Him, serve others, while maintaining some semblance of balance.

If we’re truthful with ourselves, the busyness sometimes feels safer than the stillness. For it’s in the silent moments where God’s quiet whispers begin to speak to the tender areas in our hearts. The ones where we’ve erected barricades, believing we’re safer and better off if they’re left untouched.

Yet, the hungriest part of soul needs the kind of filling…release…refreshment… that comes only through intentional time away with our Savior.

It’s why we invite you to Come Away with us on this silent(ish) retreat.

When: Saturday, August 17, 2024

Time: Doors open at 9:30 am; the retreat begins promptly at 10 am and will end around 3:30 pm

What’s a Swag Table???

Maybe it’s just us, but we’ve been to plenty of retreats + conferences that provide swag bags mostly full of things we can’t really use. So they end up getting recycled, tossed out or put in the donation pile as soon as we get home.

We believe in gifting you with goodies you actually want + need! And we know that’s highly personal.

It’s why we’re letting you put together your own swag bag by picking items from our swag table. We’re in the process of gathering fun, encouraging + eclectic items and can’t wait to see what everyone gifts themselves.

The FIRST person to buy their retreat ticket gets a first go at the swag table.

The FIRST person to arrive on the day of the retreat has second pick rights. (If you carpool, you’ll have to rock, paper, scissors it out.)

From there, we’ll sprinkle in other fun incentives for you to earn your dibs at the swag.

Andrea Anderson + Lauren Myers have known each other since 1984. They are sisters by blood + by faith. Together, they have a heart for helping women connect more deeply with Jesus + become transformed by Him.

Andrea is a certified professional coach, author of several faith-based e-books for Christian entrepreneurs. She has coordinated faith-based intimate gatherings + events, including Root Hikes which blend Scripture-based devotions, hiking and fellowship. However, Andrea didn’t always know Jesus and spent most of her teen and early adult years hating Christians. She and her husband of 22 years have four children, 2 cats + a century home that loves to be repaired.

Lauren is passionate about creating spaces where people can be together with God and each other. She and her husband are seeing this dream come to fruition through Gather Community which meets in their home for worship, prayer and Bible discussion. They have been married for 15 years and have four children. Lauren also is a medical miracle. She’s even in a medical textbook! She loves her current career as a homemaker and loves baking, watching her house plants grow, and making people laugh.

What should I bring?

  • Comfy clothes that are weather appropriate for the day. You may want to plan for layers since there are opportunities to be both inside + outside.
  • Your Bible + notebook or journal. We’ll provide a guided workbook, but you may want your notebook or journal to record additional thoughts, especially if you are a writer.
  • A towel or blanket. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate, allowing everyone to spread out on the property. The towel or blanket is in case you want to sit or lie on the ground.
  • Water bottle. While we’ll have refreshments for you, having a personal water bottle, especially during the silent part of the retreat will help you stay hydrated!
  • If you have dietary requirements that are much more strict than dairy free or gluten free (especially if you are celiac), you may want to bring additional supplemental food, especially if you have high food sensitivities. In the checkout page is an area for you to alert us of your dietary restrictions which we will do our best to accommodate.
  • Sunscreen and bug spray – just in case.
  • An open heart. Come ready for what God wants to speak to you. <3

Where is the exact location?

You will be given the property address upon the receipt of payment. Please be sure to save + copy those instructions from the confirmation page. However, we also will email you the week of the retreat. Check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see an email from andrea(at)andrealeighco(dot)com that week.

Is there a payment plan available?

While we selected a ticket price that is well within reach of most budgets, we understand some financial circumstances require a payment plan. Therefore, at checkout, you can select Klarna to process the payment into equal installments.

Do you offer scholarships?

We don’t. :) However, the payment plan option in the checkout through Klarna breaks down the $47 into 4 interest free payments of $11.75. We figured that’s doable since it’s less than one meal out a month, a monthly subscription service or going out for coffee a couple times/month.

Will you offer refunds?

Only if WE have to cancel the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to reschedule, but in the event you can’t make the selected reschedule date, we would offer a refund instead.

Can I bring my baby/children?

We love babies + children, however, given the nature of this retreat, babies and children are not allowed to come with you. We trust that if the Lord is prompting you to be here, He will make a way for you to step away. If feelings of guilt or worry come up at that thought, perhaps this is exactly an area God would like to address in your through this retreat.
